Which monuments can be used for film shoots?

Any of the national monuments managed by the CNM can be used for film shoots.

You can download the complete list beside.
You can also find out about our monuments by consulting the "Visit the monuments" section of this website, or by contacting us directly:

Where do I apply for permission?

You should send your written application to the CNM.

Send your application form (attached) to the Venue hire Department (Service Locations-Tournages). Your application will be forwarded to the appropriate person at the relevant monument, who will contact you directly.

When should I apply?

It is recommended that you apply as early as possible, in view of the constraints linked to running the monuments and their public opening hours.

For shoots requiring extensive fittings and equipment, applications must be made at least one month before shooting is due to begin.

What documents should I provide with my application?

Once contact has been made, you must provide the following details to support your application, in writing (by post, e-mail or fax):

* Required venue (name or characteristics of the venue required),
* Subject of the shoot (film, advertisement, etc),
* Planned dates and duration of the shoot, including, if appropriate, the installation and removal of equipment,
* Technical dossier (number of participants, detailed information on the equipment and technical installations to be used etc.),
* Synopsis or storyboard showing the sequence or scene to be shot at the chosen location.

What does it cost?

A range of tarifs are applied, depending on the type of shoot (film for cinema, television drama, video clip, advertisement etc.)

These tariffs are fixed fees, which include the use of the venue, the remuneration of CMN employees present to provide supervision, and insurance against any damaged caused to the property hired.

What terms and conditions apply?

The administrative specifications giving the terms and conditions relating to the granting of authorisations for film and photographic shoots (payment of fees, cancellation, modification of dates, etc) can be downloaded.
